Stunning location with breathtaking views, and proximity to national park. the Christmas decorations and traditional holiday meal were a nice touch. the breakfast buffet had a good variety of local foods.
Despite the beautiful surroundings, the room was very basic and not worth the high price tag. the lack of modern amenities was disappointing.

Romantic Escape with Great Locally Sourced Food
We recently had a romantic getaway in a hotel located just a short drive away from the Besseggen trailhead. The hotel had a great restaurant where we enjoyed delicious meals featuring locally sourced ingredients. The breakfast buffet included fresh fruit, homemade bread, and locally made cheese. The setting was picturesque, and the historic rooms were well-kept. The hotel provided snowshoes and skiing equipment which was a huge bonus as we got to explore the beautiful surroundings on foot.
The rooms were a bit outdated and could use some modernization. The furnishings were minimal and not the most comfortable.
